Join us for the 2025 Annual Field Tour!
Join us for our Fall 2025 Annual Field Tour of the 54 North, Indian Lake, and Battle Mountain Projects. This year’s tour, hosted by Umatilla National Forest, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and local private landowners, explores the benefits of cross-boundary work and the inclusion of First Foods objectives if restoration planning and implementation.
Attendees at this year’s tour will:
Connect with landowners, contractors, and land managers across private, state, federal and tribal lands who could work together who work together to implement cross-boundary projects.
Explore different restoration projects across Forest Service, Tribal, and private lands, each with a unique set of restoration goals and objectives.
Learn more about the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation’s First Foods Vision and reserved treaty rights to hunting and gathering.
Understand how different organizations and individuals approach cross-boundary work, and the challenges and opportunities in each.
Provide input on current and future restoration planning.
Carpooling is highly encouraged as there is limited parking along the tour. If you would like help coordinating rides, please contact Elena Cussler at ecussler@wallowaresources.org.
Please bring a sack lunch, water, all terrain/weather gear and footwear, hard hat, leather gloves, good boots, and eye protection. If you are in need of any special accommodations, please note them in your registration.
